Leave M6 at Junction 36, take first exit signposted Kendal Barrow onto the A590.
Take the first exit after about 3 miles signposted Barrow, Milnthorpe. Take the first exit off the roundabout.
A590 - heading towards Grange over Sands/Newby Bridge/Barrow stay on this road for about 8-9 miles until you come to a large roundabout take the second exit, right, and go up steep hill. At the top of the hill there is a slip road off the dual carriageway sign posted Cartmel/High and Low Newton. Follow signs for High/Low Newton. Go through High Newton. After you leave the village you will go through a double bend and then onto a straight section.
On your right is Airey’s Family Butchers. Go past the first white cottage after the butchers and then take the lane on the right after the cottage. You should be able to see the blue house! Turn right up the lane and the drive is first on the left 50 yards up the lane. We recommend that you reverse into the drive or turn round in the gateway to a field just beyond the driveway.
Travel south on the lake road to Newby Bridge and turn left at the large roundabout.
After about a mile the road becomes a Dual Carriageway, take the first slip road off to the left sign posted Ayside/High Newton. When you have left the dual carriageway you will come to a T junction, turn right to High Newton (do not follow signs to Ayside. You will then pass two houses on the left, the second has a sign hanging on a tree – Woodlea. 50 yards after this house there is a small lane on the left, turn left here. The turning is hard to see - if you miss the turning turn around 50 yards along the road at Airey’s Family Butchers farm shop.
The drive is 50 yards up the lane on the left, we recommend you reverse up the drive or turn round in the gateway to a field just beyond the driveway.
If you are using satnav the post code is LA11 6JE, which will bring you up a lane behind the neighboring farm. Just keep driving and you will see The Blue House drive 200 yards ahead.
